In today’s post I’d like to briefly tell the stories of two different individuals, two young marketers who happen to share the same first name…both are part of our MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP) community.
Brian Fanale (picture right) is the president and co-founder of MLSP while Brian Cole is a relatively new success story within MLM Lead System Pro.
There are some very valuable lessons to learn from the stories of the two Brians, who have more than just their name in common.
Lessons about conviction, courage, and the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone to follow your passion.
Meet MLSP Founder Brian Fanale & Rising Star Brian Cole
Let’s start with Brian Fanale, whom I’ve known since before there even was an MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP)…Brian, who hit millionaire status before the age of 30. A young Brian Fanale.
As he himself states on his blog, “I am just an ordinary guy who made a decision in March 2005 that changed the course of my life forever.”
You may be surprised to learn that Brian in fact graduated with a pre-med degree in 2004. But he eventually decided against a career in medicine as he realized he’d be on call 24-7 and have no time for friends or family – or to pursue his greatest passion: music.
One fateful day in the spring of 2005 young Brian logged onto Google to do a search on how to make more money.
This is how he stumbled upon the network marketing industry. Yet he would struggle in MLM for 3 years before he finally “cracked the code” on how to earn an income online.
As they say, the rest is history: Before long, Brian became one of the top earners in his primary company. He then went on to co-found his own company, MLM Lead System Pro, or MLSP for short.
Another Brian also took the stage at the MLSP “Live The Dream” event this weekend.
23 years young Brian Cole, former McDonald’s employee turned rising MLSP star, was interviewed at “Live The Dream III” this weekend in Dallas by MLM Lead System Pro co-founders Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz (picture below).
If there ever was an unlikely hero, Brian Cole is it. In his own words: “If I can do it, anyone can.” (To really bring home that point, he wore his MacDonald’s uniform on stage during the interview.)
A burger flipper working for minimum wage, Brian’s future didn’t seem too promising.
But, then, in the spring of 2011, something happened: Brian showed up at the No Excuses Summit (NES), a major industry wide marketing event much like our MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP) “Live The Dream” event.
This because a friend of Brian’s, who found herself unable to attend at the last minute, decided to give Brian her event ticket.
And there, at NES, Brian, who had also joined MLM Lead System Pro some time back but hadn’t been taking consistent action, heard Tim Erway speak on the importance of having your own product.
The decision to attend NES was the first decision Brian Cole made that would change the course of his life forever.
The second decision was to take action on what he learned from Tim Erway and create a simple product of his own.
The new info product he went on to make put some cash in his pockets but even more importantly it helped establish him as a leader and expert in the eyes of his prospects. This is how Brian Cole started recruiting people into MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP) in massive numbers.
(I’m guessing he also experienced a mindset shift at NES that helped him achieve results more quickly – mindset shifts tend to happen at live events.)
Within only a few months Brian hit the prestigious L4 leadership level with MLM Lead System Pro (MLSP) and earned one of the coveted spots on the MLSP EMT (Executive Management Team).
When One Decision Changes Everything

As illustrated by these two stories, a simple decision really can change the entire course of your life.
In Brian Fanale’s case, the decision to follow his heart even though I’m sure every ounce of common sense would have him stick with his original plan and not let the financial investment made in his college education go down the drain.
Or in Brian Cole’s case, the decision to attend NES – which meant he would have to break free from his minimum wage mindset and open himself up to a world of new possibilities.
In each case the decisions that were made were decisions to go against the grain.
The easiest thing for Brian Fanale would have been to get employed in corporate America. For Brian Cole, the thing that required the least effort on his part would have been to stay at MacDonald’s. But “easy” doesn’t bring about change. “Courageous” does.
And because Brian Fanale and Brian Cole made bold decisions, the result in each case was a ripple effect that would completely change the course of their lives. Not only theirs but also the lives of countless others.

Great, inspiring stories. Thanks for sharing them.
It is great to read these inspiring stories. I always appreciate it when those who have had success in MLM share their story of the struggles they encountered along the way. This is always encouraging to others who are struggling to give them inspiration to keep going even when they feel nothing is happening for them so far. If they continually hear of the success and not the journey they feel there is something wrong with them and give up when their breakthrough might have been at the next bend in the road and they never found it because no-one shared their story of struggle and how they found a way to finally achieve their dream.
We all need inspiration and encouragement to keep us on track to achieve our dream, and know that our efforts will pay off in the end if we don’t give up.
Well put, Elaine. Yes I think these stories need to be told because so often one looks at a successful person and assumes that they’ve always been that way, not knowing what they went through to get there…
