If you’ve ever asked the question of why you need an MLM blog, you’ve come to the right place.
If you believe you already understand the purpose of your blog but you’re not entirely sure how to squeeze the most profit juice from it, you should also be able to get some value from this post.
In fact, I’m going to list the top five reasons why I believe it’s important you make blogging part of your marketing routine.
Why You Need An MLM Blog And How To Monetize It

Why is it necessary to have blog in the first place? Why not just use say, banners or solo ads or Facebook ads for marketing?
Okay, I’m not saying you should do blogging exclusively. You can and should combine it with other marketing strategies. You never want to put all your eggs in one marketing basket.
Using a few different strategies side by side creates more stability in your business.
That being said, without further ado, here are what I consider to be the top five reasons why having and keeping a personal MLM blog can greatly boost your results in your network marketing opportunity.
1. It instantly boosts credibility with prospects.
A professionally designed MLM blog with great content can make you look like a rock star and attract qualified prospects to you like bees to a jar of honey.
Your blog can make you come across as the leader and expert your prospects are looking for, even if you’re new. See, it’s not about the results you have or don’t have yet; it’s about the impression your prospects get of you when they land on, and poke around on, your blog.
If you look like a leader and write like a leader, you are a leader as far as they’re concerned.
Just make sure your MLM blog brands you and not your network marketing company. I recommend you have a separate “Work With Me” section, and this is really the only place you should talk about your company. Your posts on the other hand should be giving general, not company related, tips and training.
A unique looking blog that reflects your personality is the way to go. Keep this in mind as you go about choosing your photos, domain name, tag line, and overall theme of your blog.
2. It’s a fun way to get high-quality leads.
Place an optin form to the right above the fold of your MLM blog, with an enticing give-away, and you’ve got a highly converting lead machine – more and more so as your blog traffic increases over time.
Why will these leads convert so well, you’re asking? Because of their source: These leads are opting in from your personal blog where they got to know you, trust you and like you before becoming a lead – meaning they’re already sold on working with you.

Compare this to an ad on some generic website from where you send your prospect to a replicated capture page to collect their contact details: Your subscriber has no idea who the person behind the offer really is.
This, of course, is the strategy used by most MLM companies. No wonder the distributors have to pound the phones to prove to their leads that they’re “a real person”!
(Be sure to watch my video above for more on this.)
3. It’s freeeeee. (Can’t beat that!)
All marketing strategies take work. You can’t get quality traffic without getting your elbows greased.
If you’re gonna run Facebook ads, you’ll have to continuously optimize your ads and campaigns. If you’re gonna do banners or solo ads, you’ll have to keep testing, tweaking and tracking.
Why not take some of the time you’d otherwise spend on working your Facebook campaigns, or researching solo ads vendors & banner sites, writing and submitting ads, creating banners, and running tests, and instead invest it in your MLM blog?
With your blog you can get a steady increase of laser targeted, free leads for your business.
At the same time you’re also building your brand. You’re building for longevity. Which is why, in my educated opinion, your MLM blog is your most valuable asset as a marketer.
4. You can use your blog to monetize your list, over and over.
Any time you post quality content on your blog, let your subscribers know! Keep sending them back to your blog where they’ll become more and more “sold” on working with you.

Best thing is you can do it with the click of a button, blasting an email broadcast out to your entire list…also to your paying customers and distributors.
Remember, the more they come to know you, like you and trust you, the more your leads will buy from you.
Which is why, even after a sale has been made, you’ll want to continue building a relationship with the person, adding more and more value to their life.
Earn the right to sell to them, and you can sell to them forever.
5. Over time, your MLM blog can also get you some Google luv.
Google loves high-quality, dynamic content! As you keep adding great content to your MLM blog, chances are Google will begin to take notice.
Make sure you learn some keyword research – it’s the only way you’ll be able to rank with your posts on Google. For keyword research I recommend an powerful tool that I myself use religiously called Market Samurai.
You won’t produce a flood of leads overnight with blogging – it’s not that type of strategy. Rather it’s going to slowly build over time.
That being said, once you’ve built to momentum, you’ve got free leads forever. (Not so with strategies like solo ads, banners and Facebook ads where the lead flow will stop the minute you stop putting money into the campaigns.)
So Here’s What It All Comes Down To…
I believe anyone in this industry should have a personal blog if they want to build for the long-term, create a loyal following online, and sold-out customers that keep coming back for more.

I could list many more reasons why you need an MLM blog, but these are my top five.
Again, use your blog in combination with some other strategy that produces leads more quickly. Because you also need a strong lead flow – and not in months from now but right now.
And even if you don’t blog every single day, semi-regular blogging is still better than not blogging at all. It really depends on how serious you are about getting leads with your blog.
If you are relying on other strategies for lead generation and your blog is more for the purpose of building trust with existing leads, you may not need to blog daily.
That being said, If you do commit to being extremely consistent with your blogging – which few people are – you’ll be light years ahead of your competition from the outset. Just sayin’. ;)

Excellent advice, people are always searching the internet for information so if we have the information they are looking for blogs can be a good way of letting people know about you without any pressure as many people like to gather information and take some time to think about it before they take action.
