I have tested and tried a large number of tools in my online home business over the course of the past five years. Most have turned out not to be all that they were cracked up to be.
 
And then there have been a few resources, a rather small number relatively speaking, that have been complete game changers for my business.

Tweet Adder – automated Twitter Management Software. Makes life a heck of a lot easier!

 
 

Social Adr – for bookmarking your content such as blog posts and videos – helps with Google rankings. It’s a good idea to use Social Adr and Tribe Pro side by side for maximum results.

 
 

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
 

Ahrefs – index of live links: Spy on your competition and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. Free and paid versions.
 
 
Backlink Indexer – tool for indexing your backlinks. A requirement for anyone wanting to rank their content on Google.
 
 
Market Samurai – fantastic tool for keyword research and for evaluating your competitors. A tool I would NOT want to be without – I use it daily!
 

Magic Submitter – pretty advanced campaign building/backlinking software, but boy is it effective in getting your content to rank!
 
 
Posting On Purpose For Profit – great introductory course to SEO by Rob Fore, a true master on the topic.
 
 

Video Marketing
 

Animoto – easily create fun, unique videos using music, pictures, text and film clips, practically free of charge.
 
 
YouTube/Create – create your own animated videos for free. Capture your audience with story telling using one of the many features you’ll find in ‘YouTube Create’.
 

Movie Edit PRO by Movie Magix – excellent software for editing videos on your PC: create transitions, add music, text, intros and your website URL to display on the screen…and much more.
 
Note: Mac Books have editing software built into them, so no additional tools needed there.
