One of the most valuable things you can do to have MLM success is to build relationships with other like minded individuals.
In fact, it could turn out to be one of the most profitable things you do for your business.
You simply don’t know which connection that will, at some point, turn out to be THE connection. The one connection that’s going to be the launching pad for your business. Here’s what I mean –
One Relationship Could Trigger Your MLM Success
Picture yourself at some point in the future, maybe a year from now. You’re still having a bit of a challenge getting consistent sales in your business.
But then there’s this guy that you connected with at a live event a couple of years earlier and that you’ve been in semi-regular touch with ever since… Well, this guy just had his breakthrough.
Not only that, but he’s looking for a partner for a JV (joint venture)…and you come to mind. And he reaches out to you – even though you’re not a “big name” yet. He contacts you because he knows you, likes you and trusts you.
“Amazing things can happen when you shake a few hands.”
A mentor of mine used to say that, and it really is true – one handshake could put you on the fast track to MLM success.
The person you connected with some time back is now suddenly a popular author/the CEO of a multi-million dollar company/the #1 earner with their MLM…you name it.
And now they’re looking for someone to speak at their upcoming convention/ mentor into becoming the next superstar in their downline/ manage their team…whatever the case may be…
And you run into them again at some conference, the two of you strike up a conversation, and you realize you have the same vision, and before long you find yourself working together in a mutually profitable partnership.
A lot of the time, that’s exactly how it happens.
How Does All This Apply To Your MLM Success?
Whether you’ve been around the block and back a few times or you’re a brand new marketer who has just started your first home business, be deliberate about building and nourishing relationships – both with people who are at the same stage as you in their business as well as those that haven’t come as far as you, and certainly those that are further ahead.
Some person you’ve been introduced to may be married to their opportunity right now, but a few months or a year from now they may not be… You just don’t know.
Companies come and go. Distributors jump ships. Newbies become “overnight sensations”.
Someone gives someone a break, a struggling marketer discovers the missing piece of the puzzle, or a person just happens to be in the right place at the right time and is now suddenly experiencing massive MLM success.
All of a sudden the former struggling network marketer is at the top of the leader boards and has a lot of influence they didn’t have before.
That’s when you’re gonna be glad you know them and that you stayed in touch. That you didn’t write them off just because they weren’t ready to join you in your business or for some other short-sighted reason.
Because – who knows – they may now be in a position to pull some strings for you.
But…check your intentions.
Of course, by no means am I saying you’ll achieve MLM success by making cold, calculated moves or by abusing relationships.
What I’m saying is simply to be a “people person”. Connect. Attend live events. Talk to people. Introduce yourself to new contacts. Be genuine. And don’t burn bridges.
Give freely and you’ll receive endlessly. You may not receive anything back right now, maybe not even in the very near future. But somehow, somewhere, at some point, you will – if you just throw enough hooks out there, and do so with good intentions.
Then your good reputation may just go ahead of you and pave the way for your MLM success… ;)
