Watch this video to better grasp why using a marketing system is critical if you want to see those network marketing leads convert into profits.
How do you get network marketing leads? Well, that’s sort of become the achilles heel of our industry. The reality is that you’re not going to see much momentum in your business until you’re generating at least 30 quality leads a day. But how the heck do you go about accomplishing this?
We’ll get to that in just a moment, but first, there’s something else you need to know about network marketing leads…
Getting Network Marketing Leads Is Easy, The Challenge Lies In Converting Those Leads To Sales.

So many distributors focus all their time and energy on getting leads – any leads – and they seem to forget that if those leads don’t convert to sales, they’re nothing but an expense (!)
And one thing you can be sure of: Some network marketing leads will be much harder to turn into sign-ups and customers than others.
Because in MLM all leads are NOT created equal.
With this in mind, let’s look at some examples of the dos and don’ts of getting network marketing leads.
Wrong way #1: You’re buying leads from your company’s lead vendor or some other lead provider, having no idea whether those leads have been recycled and contacted by other distributors before you.
Even if this is not the case, if you don’t know the lead source, how targeted the campaign was, how the marketing message was presented, and what exactly these prospects opted in to receive information about, then boy are you gambling with your marketing dollars.
Right way #1: You’re generating your own leads, leads that are unique to you. You know exactly where they came from, what they’re looking for, what the ad and lead capture page said, and therefore also what expectations these network marketing leads had as they entered your sales funnel.
This means you can now specifically address their needs and wants, and make sure you fulfill their expectations…
It’s key to “get into the head” of your prospect and know what they are really looking for when they type keywords into the Google search bar…
The highest quality network marketing leads (i.e. those that are most likely to convert to sales) are those that have moved through a personalized, rather than replicated, sales funnel. A funnel that tells your story and brands you as a leader.

Because your prospect aren’t looking as much for an MLM opportunity to join as they’re looking for a person to connect with – or even more precisely, a leader to follow.
Wrong way #2: You’re not building a relationship with your network marketing leads prior to selling to them. You’re approaching your prospects with a sales pitch.
Problem is, people resent being sold to. So if you’re not building trust with your network marketing leads FIRST, then, when you introduce your opportunity, your message will be nothing but “loud noise” in their ears.
This is why marketing your company or opportunity up front doesn’t work. (As you may have already noticed.)
Right way #2: You don’t talk about your opportunity at all. Not yet. First, you build trust and credibility with your leads by offering them value. Help, training, tools – free stuff that you’ve got lined up in your sales funnel.
You could for instance send those network marketing leads back to your blog where you’ve got valuable tips and training posted, or you could invite them to live marketing webinars like those you get access to with MLSP.
The cool thing is that your sales funnel (websites and auto responder messages) does all this for you.
Another visual from “Her Success Blueprint”: The more or of a trusted expert you become in the eyes of your customers, the more costly the products they will be willing to purchase from you.
In other words, you don’t have to get on the phone with every single person. And only after the relationship has been established between you and your prospect do you introduce them to your MLM.

By this time your prospects have gotten to like you, know you and trust you.
And because people buy from those they know, like and trust, the sale now happens almost effortlessly.
Wrong way #3: After your leads have been introduced to your MLM, you have no other offers to present to them, no other ways to make a profit off of those leads.
Which means that with each lead that doesn’t convert to a sign-up for your MLM (and those are many), you’re taking a hit, financially speaking.
Right way #3: You have a carefully crafted follow up process. During this process your network marketing leads are exposed to other offers in addition to your primary opportunity.
If someone says no to your MLM, you offer them something else (again, this happens on auto pilot, in your funnel) – perhaps a lead generation course, an eBook on leadership, or a personal development program…something that helps them with their marketing and also puts money back in your pocket, allowing you to recoup your adverting costs.
So…let’s sum it all up:
Network marketing leads are the life blood of your business, the fuel for your marketing engine.
Yet, as critical as it is to get those leads, you still need to make sure 1) they are quality leads, and 2) that you monetize those leads properly on the back end.
And now that you know all this, you are ready to get leads! :-)

In my experience, the best way to get quality network marketing leads quickly is to continuously put ads, videos, banners, blog posts, articles and other marketing material out on the Internet where sales ready prospects are typing in keywords pertaining to your offer, actively looking for what you have…
The next step is to get those website or blog visitors that land on your ads or banners, or read your posts or articles, to take action and put in their name and email on your lead capture page so that they become LEADS in your funnel and you can start building that relationship and earn the right to sell to them.
It takes work, but it’s not as complex as some make it out to be.
Anyway, I hope you can better see now how I can say that getting network marketing leads is the easy part!
Once again, the real challenge lies in getting quality network marketing leads that convert well to sales, and then know how to continously monetize those leads, whether they join you in your MLM or not, so that you get as much bang for your marketing bucks as humanly possible.
(Introducing various new offers to existing customers is also part of it, but this is an extensive topic so we’ll leave it for another day.)
As I’ve also demonstrated in this post, the only way to not end up with the short end of the stick is to learn to produce your own network marketing leads. Learning the skills of lead generation is ultimately what’s going to help you take full ownership of your business.

Great article! I am still struggling with this!
Powerful stuff Lena thanks, as I emailed Sam about though there is a huge issue with my branded godaddy email address not being recognised my them?
Can’t you just use a gmail adr?
Well of course I can use a gmail address but I had understood it to be an important leadership step to use a branded account and not just be joe blogs @ gmail? My branded email works fine with everyone except MLSP. This has left me in a quandary as to whether to go for the fully domain branded hosting option they offer as I can’t be sure it will link with my email and or website?
Didn’t see your reply until just now or I would have responded sooner. They key is to not let little hurdles stop you from moving forward, whether it be a domain issue or something else. If using a branded domain is causing you too many headaches and stopping you from going forward with your marketing, forget about it for now, and use gmail. Yourname@gmail is fine…or perhaps SelenasTeam@gmail.com or something to that effect. Okay?
I am not good with comuters, and I dont know how to get a program set up. I started a Shaklee business in 1966 the old fasioned way. That was easy.
