When you follow your passion, success will follow you, the adage goes.
The reason this is so often so is that when you follow your passion, doing what you love, others will take notice. In a world where the majority of people are bored and/or unhappy with their jobs or careers, you’ll stand out in a major way.
Follow your passion, and you’ll inspire others. You’ll attract more business, more clients, and more success into your life. Because everyone wants to be around the vibrant, happy, positive person who’s discovered their purpose, and who can show them how to do the same.
Here are a few more reasons why it’s so important to find, and follow, your passion.
Follow Your Passion And The Money Will Follow.
The speaker training I ordered just arrived, and I feel like a kid in a candy store! This IS my passion!
What you’re passionate about is what you’ll naturally spend your time and resources on. And so, for this reason, when you follow your passion, you’ll have a much greater chance at excelling at your craft/ job/ career.
No one’s going to have to twist your arm to to get you to put in the hours. No one will have to drag you out of bed in the morning to make you go to work.

No, you do it because you WANT to!
So again, it’s when you follow your passion, that you’ll have the absolutely best chance at getting really, really good at what you do.
And of course, everyone wants to work with the best.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, an online marketer, a speaker, trainer, coach…it doesn’t matter…your reputation will precede you wherever you go, and people will seek you out because of your expertise.
When you become known as the go-to person in a particular field, people are going to be willing to pay you pretty much whatever you ask for.
Think about people like Tony Robbins (THE personal development guru), Oprah (THE talk show host), Stephen Spielberg (THE movie director), or a number of other celebrities…they’ve specialized.
They’re considered to be the BEST at what they do. And that’s also why they’re making so much money.
You may not have ambitions to achieve celebrity status, but it still holds true that you’ll need to excel at your craft if you want achieve great success in your work. Which, again, becomes a lot more doable when you follow your passion.
Follow Your Passion And You’ll Never Work Again.
That’s another saying you may have heard before… What it really means is that when you follow your passion, work doesn’t seem like work anymore. It’s not a chore, it’s a delight.
Someone once said that when what you do for a living is something you’d gladly do whether or not you got paid for it, then you know you’ve made the right career choice.
This is exactly how I feel about marketing, and about speaking. Each and every day I follow my passion, and – get this – my passion takes me to my computer, and up on stage in front of people! I don’t look at it as “work”, I look at it as a calling – what I’m meant to do.
Do you feel this way, too, about what you do? Do you stay up until late at night working on your marketing because you just can’t seem to put it down? Do you love to create…to produce…to take an idea, develop it, and watch it as it bears fruit in front of your eyes?
Well, then you know exactly what I mean: When you follow your passion, work stops being work, and becomes pure enjoyment.
The key is to follow your passion and at the same time find something that pays well.
At the Marketing Summit in Orlando, speaker trainer Dave VanHoose inspired me to follow my passion and focus more on professional speaking.
We already established that when you follow your passion, you’ve got the very best chance at getting really good at what you do. Passion and excellence usually go hand in hand.

But you also need to make sure the line of work you get into is one that pays well - if your goal is to make good money.
If you follow your passion but your passion takes you to a low-paying job, well, then that means you’ll be happy but poor.
On the other hand, if you don’t follow your passion but take a job just because the money is good, then chances are you’ll be wealthy but unhappy.
It’s when that which you love to do intersects with what pays well that you’ve found “it”.
In closing, remember this: When you follow your passion, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals – not a lack of marketing budget, not a lack of experience or skill sets. What you lack in other areas, you can make up for with pure, raw passion.
So even if you don’t feel like you have all that much to offer at this point, I want to encourage you to follow your passion WHILE you work on gaining the experience and the skills. Because then you will get there in the end…
When your day-to-day life is fueled by passion and driven by purpose, and when profits – financial rewards – are simply the byproduct of the contribution you make to the world, you’ll experience ‘SUCCESS’ in every sense of the word.
Decide to follow your passion today, and get ready to make a difference!

Hey Lena, and once again, you put it out in easy to get terms. And it really is not that hard, is it? I ask myself: What is that thing I do sometimes without thinking about it, that keeps me going for hours, without feeling how the time passes? Or the thing that makes you forget to eat, you’re having so much fun?
The answers to these questions usually leave very good clues!
Well…as usual this is a killer article Lena. Most people seem afraid to follow their passions. But I’m pretty sure that the people who do…are the happiest and most successful.

While reading your post, I was reminded of all you gave to me over the years we worked together.
You were and are truly an inspiration to me which has been proven by the introduction of my new business which I started in October 2011.
I have had so much work just through word of mouth from relationships I have built online over the years that my new website still sits there idle, while I live my passion.
Doing what I love, helping others to build their own successful businesses online using Content Marketing Websites, We Create, You Control and Google loves!
