Today I want to tell you about a friend of mine by the name of Crystal who’s got a mindset for success like not many other people I know.
Crystal is not in my team and I don’t have any financial interest in promoting her. I simply want to share her story with you today because it’s so inspirational. There’s a lot you can learn from Crystal about developing a mindset for success…
Those That Have A Mindset For Success Embrace Challenges
First of all, Crystal is a big-time DOER.
While everyone else is sitting there thinking, considering and planning, Crystal is already DOING.
As a complete newbie, Crystal made up her mind to become an expert at Facebook marketing. She then decided to participate in a contest conducted by one of the “gurus” in our industry – a contest for new marketers which was all about creating your own product.
And she WON! Crystal won 1st prize in the contest!
This again gave her a lot of exposure and helped her start creating a name for herself as an up-and-comer. Which brought her increasingly more prospects and reps. Which took her to where she is today…$57 K in income last year.
Not top producer income maybe, but heck, the girl’s only been marketing for a year and a half. And she’s not even 30 years old.
And, very importantly, she made those 57K working from home, doing what she loves…!
Those That Have A Mindset For Success Seek To Set Themselves Apart
Right now, even as I write this, Crystal’s got her ads all over Facebook – ads that back-end into her primary opportunity. Ads that brand her as a Leader and an expert, and where she’s using her personality. What do you think of this photo Crystal used for one of her Facebook ads? Pretty original, eh? ;) (Yeah, that’s a GUN.)
In fact, you may even say some of them are a bit goofy or “weird” (they’re definitely memorable!) because that just happens to be part of Crystal’s personality.
And in an industry that only continues to be flooded with new offers, opportunities and wanna-be-gurus, more than ever you need to be real with your prospects. You need to be transparent.
Crystal’s ability to think outside the box has now made even more industry leaders take notice of her.
The top dogs have began bringing her onto their webinars to her share her story and train the attendees on her Facebook strategies.
Those That Have A Mindset For Success Refuse To Accept Defeat
Crystal is also not afraid of failing. When she did her launch webinar for her Facebook course, she had TWO attendees. (She shared this somewhat sheepishly, as you can well imagine!) And what do you think of this promotional picture of Crystal…?
That’s right – only two people showed up for the launch!
A lot of people would have quit right there. They would have thrown in the towel on marketing forever, and crawled up in a corner to die.
But not Crystal.
You know what she did? (I LOVE this!) Because she’s so committed to developing a mindset for success she went ahead and conducted another webinar – and you know what the topic was this time?
You’ll never guess it…it was on how NOT to do a webinar! Hah!
On this second webinar, she shared her learning experiences from the FIRST one – the one that bombed. And this second webinar did not bomb. In fact, it rocked the house!
Those That Have A Mindset For Success Surround Themselves With Successful People
Last but not least, Crystal is always where it’s happening. You simply cannot attend an industry event and not find Crystal there. At a live event… Hmmm, not sure where I was (behind the camera, maybe?), but all these crazy people are fellow entrepreneurs and friends of mine, and Crystal you see in the front row to the right.
The photo of the two of us at the top of this page was taken at a recent event in Florida where I presented and Crystal was in attendance.
Lemme tell you – this girl doesn’t allow herself to be intimated by the top earners either. She is always hanging out with the movers and shakers.
She understands that if you’re serious about developing a mindset for success you need to place yourself in the way of success…then success can’t help but hit you.
Now…as I wrap up this post, let me ask you a question: What is Crystal doing differently than so many others who aren’t making it happen for themselves? Do you see it?
Actually, I just said it right there in that last sentence: Crystal is making it happen for herself.
She doesn’t sit around and wait for her ship to come in. No, she swims out to MEET it!
You could really sum up the “Crystal Formula” in just a few words —
Those that have a mindset for success take massive action.
And because they have a mindset for success and take massive action, they also get the kind of results in the end that most people only dream of.
Next question… Could you do this?
Could you become an “expert” at some marketing strategy? Could you take massive action in your business and seize opportunity the way Crystal repeatedly does it? Could you make the decision not to give in to defeat?
Could you be a bit more personal and transparent in the way that you go about your marketing so that you stand out in a positive way?
Of course you could.
Actually, let’s change that… Not “could” but “can”.
You CAN.
You can do all this and more if you commit to, and start working on, developing a mindset for success.
The only question that remains is this: Are you willing…?
